Wrotham School a great education

Year 11 Leavers

We said farewell to our year 11’s today and joined them in celebrating what for many will be their last core exam. We still have a handful of exams taking place next week but we are now on to the home straight. The students had a great afternoon signing shirts, enjoying some food on our back field and saying their sometimes tearful goodbyes to the students and staff that have been with them on this 5 year journey.

There were a few pranks here and there and it may take us a few weeks to rid the school (and a couple of members of staff) of glitter and streamers but thats ok.

The celebrations were followed by their final assembly and it was a pleasure to see so many parents present to share this experience and reflect on the last 5 years. It is heartening to see so many parents in the hall to support their children on their last day.

It was a great way to end an era at the school.

The Y11 students have worked so hard this year, preparing for the most challenging exams ever; they have done this with resilience, dedication, hard work and a great spirit.

I would like to thank all of our students, staff and parents for making sure this year 11 succeeds beyond our hopes and expectations. The time and support everyone has given sits at the core of our work at Wrotham School and we couldn’t do any of it it without your support.

We will be both happy and sad to move forward to the next and exciting chapter in these young peoples lives and we wish them all well in the future. They have been a great group of young people who will make fabulous contributions to the world they move into.

I will miss their strength of character and sense of humour the most and I look forward to welcoming many of this cohort back, as young adults, to the 6th form to embark on the next step of their educational career.

Kind regards

Mr M. Cater
