Headcorn Aerodrome Visit – 29/6/2018

On Friday 29/7/2018 we took a group of students to a school event at the Headcorn Aerodrome. The event allowed students to get up close to the planes, sit in the cockpits and to enjoy the museum and other activities throughout they day. The highlight of the afternoon was the Spitfire display preview and the chance to speak in small groups to WW2 veterans about their experiences during the war. One group was lucky enough to speak to a lady who was involved in the French resistance and she gave an incredible account of what it was like to live in occupied France.
