The Character Newsletter April 2026

As we reflect on another busy and successful term, we are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved. It has been a term filled with enthusiasm, resilience and memorable experiences, both inside and outside the classroom.

This term, our students have demonstrated outstanding character. The strengths most frequently recognised were motivation, respect, confidence and resilience, showing the positive attitudes our students bring to their learning and daily school life.

We have also enjoyed an exciting range of trips and visits. Highlights included the ski trip to Italy, the Year 10 CEMA trenches trip, and the thrilling Ninja Warrior trip. Students also had the opportunity to visit St George’s Park for a sport experience, attend the Tie it Up Theatre trip, and enjoy fun activities such as ice skating and the Gravity trip. These experiences help build confidence, teamwork and lasting memories.

Our students have also benefited from valuable work-experience opportunities. This term included a Careers Fair, bricklaying work experience, and an inspiring University of Cambridge roadshow, all helping students explore future pathways and ambitions.

In March, we were delighted to celebrate World Book Day, where students and staff embraced the joy of reading, and to support Comic Relief, showing our continued commitment to helping others and raising money for important causes.

As we look ahead to Term 5, we recognise that it will be a particularly significant one, as it will be our final term in our current school building. This marks an important milestone in our school’s journey and will be a time for reflection and celebration.

Term 5 is also when the summer examinations begin, and we would like to wish all of our exam cohorts the very best of luck. We are confident that their hard work and dedication will lead to success,

Thank you to our students, staff and families for making this term such a success. We look forward to another rewarding and memorable term ahead.
