
New Governor Update
20th May 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are pleased to inform you that the Character Education Trust has accepted new governors to our Local Governing Body.
This includes two new Parent Governors; Mrs Louise Clarke and Mr Robert Danks who will be offering their expertise in the construction and education sectors respectively. We also welcome Jennifer Mavroleon as a Community Governor who will offer insight into financial and risk management.
We look forward to their adding value to the current board to fulfil our vision.
Our current Governing Body comprises:
- James Emmitt – Chair of Governors.
- Lorna Stewart – Parent Governor
- Steve Jenner – Community Governor
- Stefan Hargreaves – Community Governor
- Caroline Genc – Staff Governor
- Steve Shearman – Staff Governor
The Local Governing Body has vacancies for community governors, these are people outside of the school community, who would like to add value to Wrotham School. Local Governing Body Vision
Our vision is to ensure school development through effective and accountable governance, challenge and support. LGB Aims:
- To act as a key link between the academy, parents and local community;
- To support the work of the academy in the community;
- To support the Headteacher and Academy Leadership Team in the development and implementation of the Academy Development Plan and other relevant plans, ensuring that the CET ethos remains at the heart of the academy community;
- To monitor financial position of the school and its budget;
- To help on the ground with the implementation of certain academy policies;
- To offer challenging but positive and proactive support to the Headteacher;
- To regularly reviews the academy’s performance in relation to the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
