Transition Events for September 2027 Starters
We want every student to enjoy a confident and successful transition to secondary school.
Families of children currently in Year 5 are invited to visit Wrotham School before making their secondary school choices. We are offering an Open Evening, small group tours with the Headteacher and a programme of transition experiences during September and October 2026.
Open Evening
Thursday 10 September 2026
4.30pm to 7.30pm
Our Open Evening is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to explore Wrotham School, meet our subject teachers and hear from Mrs Abbott, Headteacher.
Headteacher presentations will take place in the theatre and will begin promptly at:
- 4.40pm
- 5.40pm
- 6.40pm
Due to the building work taking place as part of our exciting new school development, there will be some restrictions on the areas available for tours and limited parking on site.
The evening is strictly for families considering admission in September 2027.
Headteacher Small Group Tours
Prospective students and their parents or carers can also visit Wrotham School as part of a small group tour led by the Headteacher.
Every Monday and Thursday
21 September to 16 October 2026
9.15am
Duration: up to one hour
These tours are for students who will enter Year 6 in September 2026 and are considering joining Wrotham School in September 2027.
Transition Experiences
Our transition experiences give prospective students the opportunity to take part in a secondary school lesson and explore a subject that interests them.
The sessions will take place after school on selected Thursdays during September and October 2026. Students may attend one subject lesson on each date.
Session Timetable
3.30pm
Students report to the theatre and sign in with their parent or carer.
3.40pm
Students are collected by their teacher and taken to the classroom.
4.30pm
Students return to the theatre for collection by their parent or carer.
