Initial information – new students

  • Primary school visit / records / SAT results

  • Taster day – CAT test, Hodder reading, Hodder comprehension and WRAT Spelling tests

  • Summer school observation

  • Medical or other outside agency reports

  • Mid year review to assess well-being and involvement using Leuven scales (this is an area of development)

Existing students

  • Annual whole school Hodder reading and comprehension tests

  • Parental comments

  • Teacher / TA comments

  • Students support / behavioural records

  • Classroom observations

  • Use teacher assessment data to monitor progress

  • Medical or other outside agency reports

  • Assess well-being and involvement using Leuven scales (this is an area of development)

  • Exam access testing in year 10

  • Dyslexia screener

  • Dyscalculia screener (this is an area of development)

  • Complete Universal level of Mainstream Core Standards and take to review (LIFT)
