PARENT LETTERS ARCHIVE

Update: 11/12/2017 – 14.30 p.m

Light snow has now stopped and has turned to rain. Local conditions in Wrotham and Borough Green are fine.

As far as we are aware buses are running as normal.

UPDATE: 11/12/2017 – 12.45 p.m.

The weather at school is currently light snow/ sleet not settling.

However, many parents who live in West Kingsdown, Hartley, Kemsing, Vigo and the surrounding area have seen significantly more snowfall and are picking up their children early.

If you wish to pick up your child early, you are best placed to make that judgment and we will assist you in doing this.

We will also keep you updated on buses and transport, but at current time no issues to report.

Information Evening on Wednesday July 13th at 6.30pm

Year 9 and 10 parents and students

At Wrotham School we are passionate about our students achieving and developing the best possible qualifications and skills to enable them to fulfil their career aspirations.

It is imperative that we offer a curriculum at Key Stage 5 that prepares our students for the global economic challenges and competition that they will face throughout their working life. We are convinced that the IBCP can do just that.

The International Baccalaureate Career Programme is more than just an education.   It is a programme of study that will provide a well-rounded education for post 16 students at Wrotham School from September 2017. The programme is an internationally recognised course, followed by students around the world.  It seeks to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young adults who are prepared for the modern world.

The programme leads to further/higher education, apprenticeships or employment.

We are delighted to welcome our guest speakers for the evening; Dr Peter Fidczuk (IB UK Development and Recognition Manager) and Ms Kate Grieg Headteacher of  King Ethelbert School in Birchington, both of whom have a wealth of experience regarding the delivery of the programme and its impact on student achievement.
